Contestants from 17 countries and regions had joined this year's competition. They were from: Singapore, Malaysia, United States, Japan, Canada, China, Vietnam, France, United Kingdom, Burnei, Myanmar, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.
