Contestants from 17 countries and regions had joined this year's competition. They were from: Singapore, Malaysia, United States, Japan, Canada, China, Vietnam, United Kingdom, Denmark, Cyprus, South Korea, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.
