Contestants from 12 countries and regions had joined this year's competition. They were from: Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Japan, Vietnam, Australia, Canada, Taiwan, German and Hong Kong.

Juries: Dr. Wu Yang (chair of the Jury, Singapore), Dr. Dorian Leljak (Serbia/Croatia), Huang Hong (China), Toshiki Usui (Japan), Boris Kraljevic (Montenegro).
